I try to start each day with some time reading the Bible and praying, both solo and with my wife. Lately I’ve discovered a website that works really well for us both–I thought you might be interested.

It’s called Pray as you Go. It starts with a little music–mostly medieval plainsong or Taize–then a passage of Scripture, with a few simple prompts to reflect and pray in response to the Scripture–then another reading of the passage. It takes ten or twelve minutes. It’s meditative but substantial, engaging mind and heart. The Jesuits produce it but it’s not specifically Roman Catholic. Give it a try.
