My gas bubble is getting smaller, which means that it occupies only the upper half of my eyeball and gets smaller every day. For me this means my left-eye vision is at half mast. It’s like I’m seeing out of a periscope that’s halfway under water. Across the middle of my vision is a sloshing waterline. Below it all is murky. Above it, the world shines bright. This is a very weird experience!

After this experience, you would probably appreciate Oliver Sacks’ book “The Mind’s Eye” even more.
